Those who live in the U.S. know that it is the land of the free and sometimes the stupid and then there is just the plain mean people who don’t have a clue! This 60 year old man decided that he was going to be the big, bad scrooge when he made the decision to sue an 8 year old boy for accidentally running into him while they were skiing.

Scrooge (this is the name we will call him) said that while he was skiing the boy – who was skiing recklessly down the hill – ran into him causing him tear his shoulder tendon. The young boy did stop to apologize and when he tried to go on his way the old man grabbed his leg and started to yell at him.

“I was really scared,” Scott said. Scott’s father, Robb Swimm, said he saw the crash and that Scott was skiing slowly and in control. “It wasn’t a violent collision or anything, Scott just kind of tapped his ski boots,” he said this week. Due to state law the lawsuit automatically gets slapped onto the parents because the boy is a minor.

Listen Scrooge you if a little bump can cause that much damage than maybe you should stay off the slopes.
